A thought on life

      My life is my life, I like it. it has it's ups and its downs. I'm a romantic so I think I fall to hard too fast for the sake of love. But it's who I am and I hope I never change.  I know at some point I'll find the one I'm meant to shower my love over (not talking about a golden shower either... buahahaha i'm still a dork). I figure I've only got the one life, last I checked God doesn't issue do over cards that often so I need to make the most of what I've got while I've got it. That's all I can do ;) If life gives you lemons, slice 'em thin and slip them in your gin and tonic!
      I'm gettin ready to go teach English in S. Korea. gonna be gone for a year. should be a pretty awesome experience. was suppose to be going with someone but she has since gotten back with her ex and is no longer going to be joining me. such is life though, love will change everything for everyone involved. and for better or worse things will happen the way they're meant too. While I am Christian, I also believe in some form of cosmic karma or at least something along those lines. Life works the way it's suppose too and if you can do right by it than eventually it will work out for you the way it's meant too. For better or worse...

Mount Mitchell

So for those of you who haven't noticed these are a couple different parts of Western NC, ranging from Mount Mitchell, South Toe river valley in the Black Mountains and a nice hike to the top of Look Out point overlooking Black Mountain and Montreat College.

Learning to Sail

So for my 27th birthday and for graduating college my parents got me sailing lessons in Southern California, Mission Bay. It was amazing. Crazy, but amazing. I got the book the day before the class started only to find out that I had to have the whole book read by the time the class started, three pages of definitions I had to be familiar with and a pre quiz to make sure I was knowledgeable enough on the subject to take the class. The class is semester class rolled into a two day intense course, i passed the final with a 98% and flawlessly sailed through the hands on portion (pun intended). I can now Tack, Jibe, Run, sail wing on wing and the works, it was amazing. Probably going down as the best gift I've ever gotten... That and my fireman themed Big Wheel when I was 4. I am truly blessed. Here are some pics from my trip.

My Bitter Truth

My Traveling Companion

Today I fell in love my dear, it was no dream, it was quite clear.
In this glimps a life I saw, a life with you, in joy and awe.
A life spent wandering the seas, the mountain tops, the desserts breeze.
The years we'll spend by river side would drift along like the ocean tide.
With currents moving us to and fro, to cherish each other as we grow.
To see the world as birds and fish, a life with you is my one wish.
The love we forge just you and I, will grow still stronger till we die.

My Oath

My Purpose

From distant shore watch the world unravel.
Slowly breaking the habits from when we were raised,

    So i realize you might have read that same title in another blog somewhere but I like it and I'm gonna use it. A couple weeks ago I went to Ireland for a couple hours, had some good beer and great food and then came home. Enjoy
