Since we've last talk

Alright, so I know i haven't updated this thing in a couple days and for that i apologize. It's been a crazy couple days for sure. When i left you last i was in Chiang Mai getting ready to hop on a TukTuk to a bus station on the other side of the city. I had already taken the Van ride down from Pai with Julie and Marissa to Chiang Mai and now just killing time till my over night bus to Bangkok left. Julies BF Boon had gotten me a bus ticket from the terminal since everywhere we went in person or talked to had sold out. This inevitably made me a little nervous seeing as i had a 1030 flight the following morning from Bangkok to Seoul. But Thai's being as awesome people as they are he went out and found a seat for me on a bus. Thank you for that Boon. I got in the Songtow (pick up truck with seats in the back and covered roof) and off i was to the station. Got dropped off, boarded a bus and being that i was the only westerner on the bus they sat me towards the front, which i was fine with considering it was a two story bus and the view was awesome. We left Chiang Mai around 9pm and arrived in Bangkok or at least one of the major markets right outside town around 7am. I caught a cab to the airport, got my luggage out of storage and hopped on the flight to Seoul. Thai Air is such an awesome airlines, I can not even begin to describe to you the luxuries that they provide. Alright i probably could but not really much point to that. I ate my meal, watched a movie and fell asleep... Probably should have paid more attention to what was happening. As it turns out i was on a connecting flight. I thought it had been a fairly short flight once i had fallen asleep and woke up to the plane touching down but figured maybe i just slept really deeply or something. I couldn't believe how amazing it looked outside. There were massice mountains and it looked like skyscrapers just rising out of them all over the place. I was so excited to think this was the place i'd be living for the next week and then somewhere down the road after this. I was wrong... Turns out I had landed in Hong Kong, trust me, it was a little weird to find that out. Had i gotten on the wrong flight? Was i stranded in Hong Kong now? How the? What the? Why the?!!!!

Who would have thought to mention in English that you would be making a stop in Hong Kong... I guess the folks at the counter, the flight attendants, the pilot, ANYBODY!!!! oh well, i guess that just how life is for now, I'd be lying if i tried to say i dont love it. I spent a couple hours walking around the Hong Kong International Airport looking out the windows at the city. It looked amazing. I cant wait to actually go visit. Grabbed a coffee and got back on the plane to finish the flight out. Landed in Seoul, got my luggage, caught a bus to downtown, caught a cab to the hotel and the rest is now...

Got a cool roommate for the week, about 20+/- other teachers and just raining for the rest of the week. I'll do my best to get on here again once more before the weeks up and update how things are going.
